The goal of this document is to define the general requirements for Modulate-Passive-RF- Reflector (MPR). The MPRs are passive elements with respect to RF because they are unable to generate their own RF power. A low frequency (few kHz) switching mechanism is incorporated into the MPR. Using the switch, the reflector gain (AM Modulation) can be controlled by switching the MPR antenna elements between two states:
l The switch is OFF - When illuminated by RF power, the MPR collects the incident power and delivers it back at maximum gain.
